NVidia + Gnome - suddenly very slow when using only external monitor
Hi, Writing to -factory since I'm really grasping at straws trying to narrow down what broken in my setup. I have an-up-to date TW setup with a Lenovo P52 (Intel Core i7-8850, Quadro P2000 Mobile/ UHD Graphics 630 ) and an external monitor connected over USB-C (Philips 346B1C) . This was working fine today, and last thing I did was run a zypper dup to upgrade to 20210321 and rebooted. I noticed two things being out of place: - the 'welcome' application popped up - performance was _very_ slow, as in the UI reacting to clicks, hovers, etc 1-2 seconds later. I narrowed it down to the laptop's internal display being turned off. Any form of mirroring/display joining gives me good performance(*), but using only the external display is horrible. I rolled back to a previous snapshot but that did not help at all. Does anyone have any idea about where I could look? Thanks, Robert [*] I can't drive my main display at 100Hz since the laptop display is at 60Hz, so good - not great.

For whatever reason, prime-select reverted to intel, but at the same time both my displays were working, whereas before only the internal one was working with intel. After resetting to nvidia things are back to normal. Thanks, Robert
