[opensuse-factory] TW: Dependency problem in the new Tumbleweed snapshot
Hi guys! I'm trying to update to the recently released Tumbleweed snapshot and I am having the following problem with `zypper dup`: Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... Computing distribution upgrade... Problem: libcurl4-32bit-7.45.0-1.1.x86_64 requires libnghttp2.so.14, but this requirement cannot be provided uninstallable providers: libnghttp2-14-1.3.4-1.1.i586[repo-oss] Solution 1: keep obsolete libcurl4-32bit-7.44.0-1.1.x86_64 Solution 2: install libnghttp2-14-1.3.4-1.1.i586 despite the inferior architecture Solution 3: break libcurl4-32bit-7.45.0-1.1.x86_64 by ignoring some of its dependencies Choose from above solutions by number or cancel [1/2/3/c] (c): I'm not sure what I am suppose to do. Is there an easy fix or should I fill a bug? Here is a list of my repos (notice that packman is not enabled): # | Alias | Name | Enabled | GPG Check | Refresh --------------------+---------------------+-----------------------------+-----------------------+----------------------------+-------- 1 | Bumblebee | Bumblebee | Yes | (r ) Yes | Yes 2 | Ronis_BR | Ronis_BR | Yes | (r ) Yes | Yes 3 | openSUSE-20151002-0 | openSUSE-20151002-0 | No | ---- | Yes 4 | packman | packman | No | ---- | Yes 5 | repo-debug | openSUSE-Tumbleweed-Debug | No | ---- | Yes 6 | repo-non-oss | openSUSE-Tumbleweed-Non-Oss | Yes | (r ) Yes | Yes 7 | repo-oss | openSUSE-Tumbleweed-Oss | Yes | (r ) Yes | Yes 8 | repo-source | openSUSE-Tumbleweed-Source | No | ---- | Yes 9 | repo-update | openSUSE-Tumbleweed-Update | Yes | (r ) Yes | Yes Here is some additional information about my system: # cat /etc/os-release NAME=openSUSE VERSION="Tumbleweed" VERSION_ID="20151022" PRETTY_NAME="openSUSE Tumbleweed (20151022) (x86_64)" ID=opensuse ANSI_COLOR="0;32" CPE_NAME="cpe:/o:opensuse:opensuse:20151022" BUG_REPORT_URL="https://bugs.opensuse.org" HOME_URL="https://opensuse.org/" ID_LIKE="suse" Regards, Ronan -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Hi guys!
I'm trying to update to the recently released Tumbleweed snapshot and I am having the following problem with `zypper dup`:
Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... Computing distribution upgrade...

I'm not sure what I am suppose to do. Is there an easy fix or should I fill a bug?
This is not an infrequent occurance. I choose to "keep obsolete" <file> when this happens as sooner or later, it *will* be resolved. You can add a lock for the particular file, but then it becomes a chore of discover when the requirement is satisfied. Right now I am getting: Solution 1: keep obsolete libmatroska6-1.4.2-1.2.x86_64 related to vlc-codecs, but I am happy to wait for resolution. gud luk, -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
Hi, It seems there is also a fix on its way from d:l:c_c++ nghttp2 to factory. Ciao, Marcus -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
Hi! Thanks for the answers. It seems that the update can be executed by keeping the old version as Patrick said. However, I think I will wait to do this since Stephan Kulow said that this update was published untested by openQA.
