Hello all

I can't install SUSE 10.1 b5 under Vmware (VmwareWorkstation-5.5.1-19175) Are there any work arounds?

After reading through old list emails I found a work around from suggested by Christian Boltz

Try sax2 -m 0=vesa as workaround (found in Bug 148211) - this worked for me (IIRC only after a "init 6")

Install the missing packages now" See screen shot at "http://perso.wanadoo.fr/home/jpearson/SUSE-b5.4.png" This time Sax2 let me set up the video card hardware. Configuration shots are available at "http://perso.wanadoo.fr/home/jpearson/SUSE-b5.5.png" and "http://perso.wanadoo.fr/home/jpearson/SUSE-b5.6.png" Note : Despite the fact that I answered yes (to installing missing packages) sax2 repeats the above question each time I re run it.
