Settings in Alternatives
Hi Am i correct in thinking that an upgrade for postgresql from 13 to 14 should not override the manual setting in Alternatives? Thanks for the tip. I've had a look through "/var/log/zypp/history" for occurrences of "alternatives" but didn't find any related to postgresql. The only way i know to update the setting in Alternatives is manually via Yast and i didn't do that (except to set it back to postgresql13 manual). The only thing i can think of is that the setting was Auto and my memory is faulty (i've never had cause to check the setting since I upgraded to 13). I was just looking for what process changed my configuration because i was convinced i had it "locked" to version 13 in Alternatives, I am more than likely not understanding something. I did search for "postgresql" too, loads of references to versions 10,11,12,13 and 14.
