[opensuse-factory] howto modify grub2 to add missing menuentries?
I have a 12.3m2 system with two kernel updates but grub2 only provides access to the original kernel. Yast does not add the newer kernels. How can I add the newer kernels? -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

If you want to replace the version: vi /boot/grub2/grub.cfg :%s/3.6.7-15/3.7.1-16/g (3.6.7-15 ... --> insert your versions there) That's what I always do, when Tumbleweed delivers a new kernel (and a different installation "rules" the boot configuration). -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

You already asked it and when you showed your grub.cfg all kernels were there. Unless you explain what actual problem you have it is hard to help. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
