[opensuse-factory] Problem with 1680x1050 display on DVI with Intel HD graphics
Hi all, I'm having a severe problem with a 1680x1050 display connected via DVI on my Lenovo T410s (Intel HD graphics). The screen flickers when krunner is displayed, and turns completely black when YAST2 or another large window is displayed. Flicker frequency depends on size of the window. Usding GNOME makes everything worse. Switching off compositing doas not change anything. No ptoblems occur with a 1280x1024 display. I already filed a bug report ( https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=613165 ). Currently, I'm on VGA for that display, where the problem does not occur, but the image quality is significantly worse. Anyone eose having this problem? What can I do to debug? Unfortunately not! Just read that bug report - tsss, I bought a laptop with intel graphics on purpose, namely because I was too pissed off by the ati drivers in my last one. And now it turns out the Intel guys are refusing to fix bugs... Seems Linux graphics drivers will stay a pain for a long, long time. :/ Michael -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
