With some exceptions, this is how Plasma applets work: configuration is per-instance, not global.

ok. thanks. What is the logic behind that? it sounds crazy to me. i could have 10 panels with the same applet on each and i'd have to configure each one. The logic is that you can and may have applets with multiple configurations. Some "mainstream" examples:

- Clocks showing different timezones - Different folder views (on this activity I have 3 for example)

All the configs are always stored in the same file though, ~/.config/ plasma-org.kde.plasma.desktop-appletsrc.

thanks. maybe the clock applet should just use your local timezone and then display more clocks by adding a clock with a + or - time difference to your local time - it shouldn't take much to store that config.
