[opensuse-factory] openSuse 10.3 dual boot Solaris 10 usf
Hey Group; I rec. a free version of Solaris 10 on DVD. I was in hopes I could dual boot it and SuSE. Primarily I will use SuSE but would like to try vmware or the like as a test. I have tried Sid's suggestion "mount -t usf usftype=sunx86 /dev/sda1 /mnt/sda1" (sda1 is correct). Has anyone gotten this to work? I did get Solaris to boot before loading SuSE 10.3 GM. That short time showed me why I prefer Linux!! -- 73 de Donn Washburn 307 Savoy Street Email: " n5xwb@hal-pc.org " Sugar Land, TX 77478 LL# 1.281.242.3256 Ham Callsign N5XWB HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " VoIP via Gizmo: bmw_87kbike / via Skype: n5xwbg BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador " http://counter.li.org " #279316 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I would suggest VirtualBox or using YaST to create a Xen domain for Solaris. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
