[opensuse-factory] TW Installer is broken due to ruby error and debugger
Hi all, Is anyone else having problem installing the latest build of TW due to ruby error. When the installer finishes with editing the partitions and switches to the window showing grub2 and Software I'm getting a prompt about a ruby error asking to debug the error. Impossible to install even when I choose a text install. -- Cheers! that sounds like one of those notifications where the notification clearly says you should file a bug report with YaST logs Do you have that bug report number, so I can look at it and answer your question accurately based on data from those logs? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

there is already a newer snapshot, openSUSE-Tumbleweed-DVD-x86_64-Snapshot20180218-Media.iso perhaps it does not exhibit the same error. infact there have been two newer iso's. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I'll try the latest build. Perhaps it's been addressed. -- Cheers! Roman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

I reinstalled and this time I got an error message that /home could not be mounted. I believe my MBR got messed up from a previous installer that didn't complete its installation. There where two buttons on that pop up message Abort and Continue. I clicked on the Continue button and the installation started and finally finished. So I now have Tumbleweed working. -- Cheers!
