I can't find out how to add applications to the task bar. When I choose edit panel, all the choices I have are to add widget add panel. Is the add application option hiding somewhere else.
Hi,
There isn't. Just drap&drop the application shortcut to the panel..

Luiz
Luiz, all,
After trying -- that doesn't work. I use the "Classic Style" menu and there doesn't appear to be any way to just drag-n-drop an entry from the menu to the taskbar. Am I missing something?
Temp. use the "kickoff" menu....use a right mouse click on the icon/app. you want to add to the taskbar...a menu will come up and you can add it. When done, then go back to the classic menu. Ah, so that's the answer and not "drag/drop". Thanks Fred. Ciao. -- Understanding only begins with the act of perception. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

'Saright! You're supposed to be able to use drag 'n drop, but it doesn't work. Drag and drop works perfectly fine, just have to be a pretty precise regarding where you drop - note the icon changing from "stop" sign to "+" sign. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Martin, I changed back to the "kickoff" menu (which is what I'd like to do to it) and I worked very precisely to either drag-n-drop (looking very attentively) for a (or any) telltale cursor sign that a drag-n-drop could occur and it never appeared. (this was attempted multiple times with left, middle & right mouse clicks and also attempted in combination with alt, ctrl & shift keys - nothing) Also attempted was rght, and middle mouse clicks on the kickoff menu to try and be able to add to the taskbar - still no luck. I did actually get a workable solution once I found "menu editor" right clicking on the start menu "green lizard head". However, the start menu is very disappointing. Many features like the most frequently used apps and the number of them to show, find, network, and other normal options to put on the start menu are simply not there. -- David C.
