[opensuse-factory] MPI on 10.3
Hi, I just want to install MPI (mpich) on OpenSuSE 10.3 but I cannot find any MPIb package on the 10.3 Beta DVD. So I have 2 questions: Is the mpich package still part of the SuSE distribution? If so, whats the name of the package? Thanks in advance for your help. I think it is still part of OpenSUSE 10.3, but not on the DVD but only on the FTP server. On the FTP server one also finds LAM. (Personally, I like OpenMPI best, which is an MPI 2 implementation: http://www.open-mpi.org/ there are at least two of OpenMPI builds on the build server, don't ask me which one is best: http://software.opensuse.org/search?q=openMPI&baseproject=openSUSE%3AFactory&p=1 At least mine is only minimally tested.) mpich is in factory and since it was in 10.2, I believe it will be in 10.3. Maybe not in the dvd, as it isnt for general use. The dvd doesnt contain all packages. The ftp main repository have more packages. Marcio --- Druid On 8/20/07, Andreas Hoffmann <andreas.in.hk@googlemail.com> wrote:
