[opensuse-factory] please open bug #1108189
Hi Bugshare-Team, It is mentioned in obs-service-refresh_patches patch as security fix. I'd really like to know what vulnerability I have if I can not update for whatever reason. Best regards,
Generally bugshare won't take care of "security" issues as the security team is good at making bugs public when they are ready, this one hasn't been assigned back to the security team yet to close and make public so there is a chance it is still being worked on, but I will check with them. Someone needs to be copied, to make the community aware of the obvious problems and (non-)progress with the bugshare process... Developers are IMHO rather likely to be interested in the problem. opensuse-project would be an alternative. Or the board. -- Stefan Seyfried "For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for nature cannot be fooled." -- Richard Feynman -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

We briefly discussed the issue in the last board meeting (although it didn't make the minutes it was a last minute afterthought. Its on my todo list for this week to contact people higher up in SUSE to attempt to create a short term work around. (SUSE Engineering Management is aware of the issue and is working on a medium to long term solution that will likely be a part of migrating away from Microfocus services.) -- Simon Lees (Simotek) http://simotek.net Emergency Update Team keybase.io/simotek SUSE Linux Adelaide Australia, UTC+10:30 GPG Fingerprint: 5B87 DB9D 88DC F606 E489 CEC5 0922 C246 02F0 014B

Some people believe that every problem can be solved more quickly just by being obnoxious enough but it does not always work that way. And such approach is not going to make you very popular either.
