For me the amdgpu driver works very fine with kernel 5.13.0-1-default without building nothing. But some people are masochistic and like Nvidia! I'm typing this from Tumbleweed 20210706, kernel 5.13.0-1-default, nvidia driver 460.84. My dup to kernel 5.13.0-1-default appeared to work fine, no issues. The one thing unusual about my desktop install is that I still have a UsrMerge work-around in place: cd /usr; ln -s . /usr/usr described at https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Usr_merge But as I understand it, this work-around should no longer be necessary. The only trouble I've seen is that, since the weekend, my system has had a couple of hard lockups with no clues in any logs. My desktop is normally solid as a rock (Note to Juan Erbes: probably due to my using the excellent and well supported proprietary driver). Lockups begun happening before the update to 5.13.0-1 while on 5.12.13-1. They are rare and may be related to google-chrome which updated to beta 92.0.4515.80-1 on 2021-07-02. For all lockups I was using chrome at the point of the lockup. After turning off chrome's advanced option for GPU acceleration I have not yet experienced any further issues (but they're rare, I may simply be lucky so far). Michael

fwiw: I have the same problem, new 5.13+ kernels break nvidia G04 390.143. Yes, Tumbleweed snapshot 20210706 introduced Kernel 5.13, which broke build of G04 390.143, but the next 390.xxx version will fix that issue. Unfortunately I'm not allowed to tell you, when it will be released. For now please switch back to Kernel 5.12.x.

And this is awaiting appearance of: http://download.nvidia.com/XFree86/Linux-x86_64/390.144/ before the driver could be built! Best, Pete

I found a patch for 5.13, and the driver is working for me. If you are interested in building the G04 driver from source, contact me.
