[opensuse-factory] GDM defaults to Wayland even though WaylandEnable=false
After last update GDM now runs in Wayland session which causes issue with QEMU version I have (I posted this earlier). I still have WaylandEnable=false in /etc/gdm/custom.conf. Is this file no more used by GDM? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Which update exactly ? (rpm -q --changelog gdm | head) gdm still uses custom.conf as configuration file. -- Frederic Crozat Enterprise Desktop Release Manager SUSE -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

January 19 2018 gdm-3.26.2.1-4.1 According to zypper history it was installed on 2018-01-27 and previous version was 3.6.2.1-3.1 installed 2018-01-19 and as far as I remember I could normally login into this version using old QEMU (where keyboard is broken in wayland). /etc/gdm/custom.conf is present but apparently ignored (it is running gnome wayland session and [debug] Enable=true is ignored as well). -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

/etc/gdm/custom.conf is present but apparently ignored (it is running gnome wayland session and [debug] Enable=true is ignored as well).
That is likely a regression coming from the 'auto-disable wayland on cirrus hardware'. Please file a bug for this (there could now also be a /run/gdm/custom.conf, which is auto-generated) Cheers Dominique

https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1078030 There is no /run/gdm/custom.conf
