All meeting minutes can be found here: https://etherpad.opensuse.org/p/ReleaseEngineering-meeting ## Participants Dominique Leuenberger, Guillaume Gardet, lkocman, Michel Normand,Richard Brown, Douglas DeMaio Public holiday in Germany on Thursday. ## Leap Leap: Progressing on remaining RC/GM tasks in progress-o-o. Migration bug https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1162755, Leap -> SLE, seems like nothing changed on our side. Reminder for planned GM on 25th June, Release day on 2nd July. lkocman: WSL: let's syncup with Martin Loviska and Cloud QA on the current builds of WSL in Leap 15.2 and openQA setup. max: Currently we're testing Virtualization:WSL in openSUSE Leap 15.2 WSL jobgroup not from openSUSE:Leap:15.2:WSL. lkocman: I think the agreement was already to use the openSUSE Leap 15.2 they were just waiting for confirmation that we're all set. I'll raise it on next WSL call and in the RC #wsl. ## openSUSE Tumbleweed * Kernel 5.7.1 has been released - There are issues with Intel wifi adapters when loading compressed firmware ( https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=208183) * Just last night, all o3 workers went down due to a broken change. Cache services did not come up, resulting in all jobs failing incomplete for missing assets * Some of the YaST rewrites resulted in issues when cloning systems with autoyast: AY creates invalid profiles * KDE Applications 20.04.2 were published in Snapshot 0614 ## ddemaio * GSOC - First Evaluations due between June 29- July 3 * openSUSE + LibreOffice Conference * CfP deadline is July 21 * Working with SUSE Legal on conference tools * Determining if we will sponsor COSCUP (Waiting on Community to provide a plan) * Akademy and GUADEC sponsorships going forward * https://github.com/openSUSE/artwork/tree/master/posters - Ludwig: these are intended to be print by yourself, or being distributed on release parties. ## Dirk No updates lkocman: next steps with policy for Tier1 policy is to send it out to wider audience. Place it on wiki and then let's revisit ARM situation once it was absorbed by public. ## Guillaume - Arm Tumbleweed: * MicroOS transactionnal update is broken due to a kiwi bug: kiwi creates broken /EFI/BOOT/grub.cfg: https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1172908 * Still a bug with GNOME X11 and Virtio (not specific to Arm): https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1168992 Leap 15.2: * No update ## Gerald Excused himself ## Max No bigger news. Fast-tracked SLE maintenance submissions to Leap 15.2. We did switch rebuild to the local mode. 4 Build failures left: 2 from SLE, and 2 openSUSE packages. ## Adrian - Jump lkocman: Reminder of upcoming 2nd round of discussion with maintenance team regarding Jump submission redirection to SLE Maintenance tomorrow. * https://github.com/openSUSE/xcdchk (lkocman is during local tests with data from dist/install/SLP/openSUSE* and SLE Containers module Task: sync Jump builds to http://dist.suse.de/install/SLP/ (source for xdcdchk) ## Michel PowerPC openQA, TW recurrent failures because of rcu kernel messages, seems to have overloaded workers, do not know why yet. ## Richard Kubernetes 1.18.3 and 1.17.5 have been released. Team has been working on reducing our backlog of bugs, things dropping down nicely. Upstream contributions from these bugs have all been rejected so far, in lieu of much larger refactoring we now seem to be causing ;) Upstream Kubernetes will be documenting Kubic as a reference implementation of kubeadm, even though we don't use upstream packaging. ## Tom Not present ## Wolfgang Not present ## Ludwig No update on MicroOS 15.2. We might want to change name of MicroOS in Factory from openSUSE-MicroOS to MicroOS for consistency though (vendor "openSUSE", product "MicroOS"). ## Overview of Commmunity SLE Feature Requests (See details in https://en.opensuse.org/Portal:Leap/SLEFeatureRequests ) (This section will be newly part of ReleaseEngineering meeting minutes) * python-mailman 3.3.1 update requires update of python- importlib_resources, python-zope.interface (NEW< Pending ECO approval) * lqxt-build-tools update to 0.7.0 (PM-1914) - TPM evaluation Done - Deferred to SP3 * add authselect for managing auth stack configuration (PM-1881) - Pending PM Evaluation - Aiming for 15 SP3 - Pinged Josef M. to provide more feedback * Update python-typing_extensions to 3.7.4 (PM-1833) - 1/2 DONE - Submissions against 15 SP2 are ready - python-typing https://build.suse.de/request/show/218052, superseded byhttps://build.suse.de/request/show/218607 Accepted - python-typing_extensions https://build.suse.de/request/show/219439 under review, however GMC build is already done. - Antagged from Staging:A - Most likely will be released as a maintenance update * Update libcdio required by python-pycdio 2.1.0 and whipper (PM-1801) - Next release - Will be deferred to the next release (15 SP3) as it does not qualify as a SLE 15 SP2 RC phase request. Change requires rebuild of underlying dependencies. Namely: cdio-utils.spec, ffmpeg.spec, gstreamer-plugins-ugly.spec, gvfs.spec, libcddb.spec, libcdio, paranoia.spec, libcdio.spec, vcdimager.spec Nry隊Z)z{.r+맲rz^ˬzN(֜^ ޭ隊Z)z{.r+0Ǩ
