[opensuse-factory] Split openoffice
There was already a thread about making the default install as compact as possible. What about splitting Openoffice.org to each module as other distros do already? For a default install I would suggest to include then only openoffice-writer openoffice-calc +translations -- Mit freundlichen Grüßen, Marcel Hilzinger Linux New Media AG Süskindstr. 4 D-81929 München Tel: +49 (89) 99 34 11 0 Fax: +49 (89) 99 34 11 99 --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

The OOo applications (Writer, Calc, Impress, Base...) are not "modules". Read this: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=190573 You won't save more than a few MB unless OOo (the software itself, not the package) is fixed. Most of it is always needed. What other distros (and the upstream RPMs) do is something else, it might be nice for different reasons, but saving space cannot be the reason.
