installing beta 1 with ATI fglrx driver
Hi everybody, if you wanted to install the ATI proprietary fglrx driver on a 10.1 beta 1 system you will have the problem that some files from the fglrx package are linked to an expat library version that is no longer shipped with beta 1. If you still want to use the fglrx driver with beta 1 you can install the package http://pi3.informatik.uni-mannheim.de/~schiele/beta1/expat-compat-0-0.i586.r... as a workaround. If you need the same package for a 64 bit system, drop me a note and I might consider to build one as well. Does that mean that the 6.8.2-compliant "fglrx" is also running under 6.9.0 ? Just to be sure before doing that step ... -- Never give up ! Best regards, Reinhard. Thread in "c.o.l.m": "Do we need wine ?" The best answer: "We certainly do. A man can't drink beer all the time."

Building the 10.1 RPM uses the "fglrx" driver for X.Org. Best regards, Stefan Public Key available ------------------------------------------------------ Stefan Dirsch (Res. & Dev.)
