Hi everyone, today I had a strange experience with my TW installation. For more that a week now, I cannot login via graphical interface, I have to switch to console mode and use "startx" here. That went fine until this morning (yesterday I was at home and did not use this box). startx -> nothing. file startx -> "empty file" WTF??? I reinstalled xinit (from the TW repo, as always), and the script was back. But it complained that there was no /usr/X11R6/bin/X. OK, I symlinked /usr/bin to /usr/X11R6/bin (/usr/X11R6 was not present). Then startx complained the was no /var/lib/X11R6/bin/X.. so I symlinked /usr/X11R6 to /var/X11R6. Later, I found that /usr/X11R6 belongs to the filesystems rpm. Though this package ist installed (13.2-7.2), the directory did not exist. I never had to do this before. Did this happen to anybody else? Puzzled, Werner --
