Thanks for letting me know. It is probably my setup. If it persists, I will delete kde4 directory to force a reset and see if the problem persists. Using the same KDE settings in 42.2, this does not occur. Regards. Yes, I am seeing weird behavior. It's not quite what you describe, but similar.

I normally keep widgets locked. And I don't see this problem when they are locked. But, after unlocking to check, yes I see problems.

I think I'll stick with my practice of keeping widgets locked.

This is https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=380354. A fix is being worked on upstream and is currently under review[1]. Once approved, we'll patch the packages to fix it.
