Hi, I'm about to upgrade to latest TW and get the following error: (197/459) Installieren: sof-firmware-1.6-1.1.noarch Installation of sof-firmware-1.6-1.1.noarch failed: Error: Subprocess failed. Error: RPM failed: error: unpacking of archive failed on file /lib/firmware/intel/sof-tplg: cpio: File from package already exists as a directory in system error: sof-firmware-1.6-1.1.noarch: install failed error: sof-firmware-1.6~rc3-3.1.noarch: erase skipped Any recommendation how to continue? sudo rm -rf /lib/firmware/intel/sof-tplg and update again. This will have to be handled in the package itself. I disagree. I was stuck during update and needed an advice quickly. Ismail responded within 6 minutes, and solved my problem. This is a brilliant example that TW users do get help on factory@ (answers to this to the respective thread on project@, please) At the same time its a heads-up for other TW users that issues might arise (another TW machine of mine did not have the problem). Bugzilla is simply not responsive enough in these emergency cases. Cheers Axel

Only if Axel would have only needed help next year. Bugs usually get answered very slowly (if at all). Whis is understandable, because there is no usable mechanism (...I know of...) to get notified about new bugs with no delay.
