Is anyone unable to get the GUI desktop environments to come up when using VirtualBox in Tumbleweed? It installs successfully, but neither GNOME or KDE will load the GUI when using VB. It could just be my system, so let me know what everyone else is finding. Sincerely, Bob Martens

Using Leap 42.1-RC1 with KDE, starting the VB GUI causes Plasma5 to crash. I reported it using the built in bug reporter, but I failed to note the bug number. My bug might be the same as you are finding. By downloading and installing the VB RPM from https://www.virtualbox.org/wiki/Linux_Downloads, I was able to get VB running. are the opensuse leap repositories that now as of rc1 stage, which come as listed in the yast repositories list, to be used right after the rc1 install? there are maybe 100 packages that get listed with zypper ref and zypper dup is it safe to use the online repos beginning now from rc1 onwards to become into rc-next and into leap-goldmaster and leap-production after that? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Is Tumbleweed the guest or the host? For TW or Leap as the guest with a GNOME desktop, you should follow http://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=950877. The problem is the result of upstream changes. At the moment, there is no fix as the GNOME and X groups are still finger pointing and digging in their heels! Hi all, I am wondering why the RC1 build has so many failures on OpenQA [1]. Build0229 seemed to do much better [2]. One reason seem to be that download.opensuse.org was more busy than on other days ;) Greetings, Stephan -- Ma muaß weiterkämpfen, kämpfen bis zum Umfalln, a wenn die ganze Welt an Arsch offen hat, oder grad deswegn. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org

Yes, manual testing shows great improvement over build0229 Thanks, Angelos -- Angelos Tzotsos, PhD OSGeo Charter Member http://users.ntua.gr/tzotsos -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
