[opensuse-factory] opensuse theme for awesome windowmanager
Hi, For those following the factory know that awesome windowmanager is now available in the factory. At its' current stage it provides just the upstream version, however my intention is to provide an opensuse theme along with customized rc.lua If any of you are using awesome, must be 3.4.13 not the git version, and have a customized rc.lua or a customized theme and would like to share it with the rest of the community this might be the right time. I am preparing awesome-opensuse theme package along with the customized rc.lua and I would be happy to incorporate all or parts of your settings as it fits. However if nothing shows up well hope you enjoy what is offered ;) So if you are interested please provide a link, paste address where your settings can be retrieved and make sure you provide a license for your work so I can include your work in the package. Hi, Make that awesome-branding-openSUSE and split away awesom-branding-upstream to follow our policies. And one more thing: do not copy distribution artwork into your package, but add a subpackage to branding-openSUSE with what you need from artwork and then require that subpackage in your awesome-branding-openSUSE. Otherwise updating distribution artwork is just too complex. That sounds better thanks for the hint.

So if I understand right, the default themes, and the default rc.lua stuff should awesome-branding-upstream subpackage of the awesome package.

Here you got me sort of lost, but maybe when I am actually doing the thing I'll get it. But roughly I need to branch branding-openSUSE; add a subpackage that is using the artwork from branding-openSUSE sources. And then require this new subpackage of branding-openSUSE in awesome-branding-openSUSE. Hope I'll be able to work it out.
