That's the rub, I always do that and it was successful but it complains of an incompatible API. The previous xorg-x11-server was OK. Is it available anywhere and is it likely not to cause problems? Response in the bug from Stefan Dirch ----------------------------------------------------- NVIDIA is going to work on the new ABI, once xorg-server 1.15.0 has been released. X11:XOrg/openSUSE:Factory can contain bleeding edge packages. Please don't use it for regular use and don't report bugs as Crit Sit. This is crazy. Regards Sid -- Sid Boyce ... I have said absolutely nothing about the intelligence of people using proprietary drivers, nice straw-men argument. They are always behind the curve which causes users some difficulties. The longstanding binary blob issue is pain in the tail forever chasing kernel API changes and now an Xorg ABI incompatibility. I'll forget about it and seek a fix for the openGL/nouveau problem that causes cuSDR64 to fail with "cuSDR64 BETA requires OpenGL v2.0 or later to run" There isn't a problem running the application on Kubuntu versions up to 13.10.
