[opensuse-factory] 11.4 is finished, how should one go with Tumbleweed and when?

I have an 11.4 machine, everything up to date. I have a Tumbleweed machine, everything up to date. I intend to keep 11.4 as 11.4 for a while at least, so that's fine. I intend to go on upgrading the Tumbleweed machine. At what point do I need to change YaST to point to 11.4 repos? BTW the Tumbleweed kernel is beyond 11.4 now. When 11.4 is released. When that happens on Thursday, I will delete all of the packages from the current openSUSE:Tumbleweed repositories, and point the base at 11.4, and start all over.
BTW the Tumbleweed kernel is beyond 11.4 now.
It is for the moment, but not for long :) Hope this helps, greg k-h -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

That's why I asked. I know that the repos need to be changed. And that it needs to be done in a certain time window :)
So the next thing to do would be to disable Tumbleweed repo, change the rest to 11.4 and zypper dup. This could even be done right now, after all, according to Andreas Jaeger "11.4 is finished". Then once there are packages in Tumbleweed again, enable it again.
BTW the Tumbleweed kernel is beyond 11.4 now.

Apparently you knew better :) 11.4 is ahead again :) I guess it would be good for both to have the same kernel version at the time Tumbleweed gets changed from 11.3 to 11.4 Maybe they will and one should just refrain from everything just now. But it's hard :)
Hope this helps,
It strengthens the picture I have and makes me believe I've understood this more or less correctly :) Vahis -- http://waxborg.servepics.com openSUSE 11.3 (x86_64) 2.6.37.2-15-default -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Hm, are the 11.4 repos populated? I haven't looked yet...
