[opensuse-factory] openSUSE 11.3 Milestone 5 Broken on 64-bit x86-64
Just one advice for all that want to test Milestone 5 as 64-bit x86-64 version: The media cannot be installed on 64-bit x86-64 systems due to Bug #595545. Also if you update with zypper dup to current factory, wait until the next rebuild is finished, for details see Bug #595545 (https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=595545), I'm sorry that this one was not noticed during pre-release testing :-( Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, Program Manager openSUSE, aj@{novell.com,opensuse.org} Twitter: jaegerandi | Identica: jaegerandi SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nürnberg) Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

I'm sorry that this one was not noticed during pre-release testing :-( Andreas Skip if you are on non x86_64.
Shit happens _and_ we are on Factory/Milestones, so what? Seems that all trying a fresh install of M5 can't finish it and all on current Factory can't run a zypper ref with opensuse-oss/-non-oss repositories, right? So: if you want to do a fresh install goto start else if you are on current Factory goto update else goto what_do_you_want_here start: take M4 update to Factory goto update update: read https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=595545 install the rpm's in https://bugzilla.novell.com/attachment.cgi?id=354472 wait for next Factory sync with fixed packages included goto end what_do_you_want_here: echo ??? end: :-) Hans-Peter -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
