That's about the most difficult thing to decide upon: how complex will it be to package an application. Before doing it, you can hardly know how broken the build system is, that a random project is using. Sometimes, the 'easy' looking leaf object gives you a major headache, simply because you have to patch out half of the Makefile, remove all the (in)-sanity checks, simply because you know better than what you do.
