[opensuse-factory] Should there be sound over HDMI?
Hi! I connected a TV set to an HDMI connector on my sound card. There is video output, but no sound. anixx@anixx-desktop:~> aplay -l **** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices **** card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 0: AD198x Analog [AD198x Analog] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 card 0: Intel [HDA Intel], device 1: AD198x Digital [AD198x Digital] Subdevices: 1/1 Subdevice #0: subdevice #0 No Nvidia devices. I read in the Ubuntu FAQ that it the system cannot detect HDMI device, it means you have incorrectly built kernel or alsa. But I use the both from the repo. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
