[opensuse-factory] nothing provides perl = 5.22.1
HI! Why are there already dependencies on perl 5.22.1 when I build in develop repos? Ciao, Michael.

Here I tried to set more fine-grained dependencies: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:stroeder:branches:network/freer... But same issue with: https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/network/freeradius-server Ciao, Michael.

I don't see any relevance to Perl in the unresolvable there. The issue is the one described in https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/201 6-02/msg00465.html Am I looking at the wrong thing? Sorry, I should have been more clear: I'm *not* talking about the "unresolvable" in the build. I try to install the recently built packages from here on my rpi: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/stroeder:/branches:/network/... # zypper in freeradius-server-3.0.11-120.1 freeradius-server-ldap-3.0.11-120.1 freeradius-server-libs-3.0.11-120.1 freeradius-server-utils-3.0.11-120.1 Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... Resolving package dependencies... Problem: nothing provides perl = 5.22.1 needed by freeradius-server-3.0.11-120.1.armv6hl # zypper info perl Loading repository data... Reading installed packages... Information for package perl: ----------------------------- Repository: openSUSE-Factory-repo-oss Name: perl Version: 5.22.0-3.1 Arch: armv6hl Vendor: openSUSE Installed: Yes Status: up-to-date Installed Size: 31.6 MiB Summary: The Perl interpreter Description: perl - Practical Extraction and Report Language Perl is optimized for scanning arbitrary text files, extracting information from those text files, and printing reports based on that information. It is also good for many system management tasks. Perl is intended to be practical (easy to use, efficient, and complete) rather than beautiful (tiny, elegant, and minimal). Some of the modules available on CPAN can be found in the "perl" series. This main repo is used: http://download.opensuse.org/ports/armv6hl/factory/repo/oss/ Ciao, Michael.

AAH! Sorry! Now that makes more sense and we might start talking about the same things
I try to install the recently built packages from here on my rpi:
http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/home:/stroeder:/branches:/n etwork/openSUSE_Factory_ARM/armv6hl/
so, your branch build (as usual) against network/openSUSE_Factory_ARM checking network, we can see that this builds againt: <repository name="openSUSE_Factory_ARM"> <path project="openSUSE:Factory:ARM" repository="standard"/> <arch>aarch64</arch> <arch>armv7l</arch> </repository> (so, against /standard) Looking at https://build.opensuse.org/project/show/openSUSE:Factory:ARM : there is still quite some work to be done before this repository can be published. ARM (and also PowerPC) are not part of the regular openSUSE Tumbleweed release / snapshot cycles. They are dealt in their respective ports project (but they inherit fixes from openSUSE:Factory) so in this case, 'time will heal the wounds' - once the base repo catches up, perl 5.22.1 will be available.
