[opensuse-factory] Apache
Why is it Apache works one time and not the next on Firefox or Thunderbird. NOTHING has been done to alter Apache/public-html or /etc/Apache2/files or through Yast2. Hostname/IP# is the same and never changes. /etc/hosts maybe being changed by some NetManager or something. But yet sometimes it works and the next time it fails. openSuSE 11.4 M3 -- 73 de Donn Washburn 307 Savoy Street Email:" n5xwb@comcast.net " Sugar Land, TX 77478 LL# 1.281.242.3256 Ham Callsign N5XWB HAMs : " n5xwb@arrl.net " VoIP via Gizmo: bmw_87kbike / via Skype: n5xwbg BMW MOA #: 4146 - Ambassador " http://counter.li.org " #279316 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

So "ps aux|grep httpd" says it's not running. yasu:~ # ps uax|grep httpd root 2622 0.0 0.2 17724 2416 ? Ss 00:00 0:00 /usr/sbin/httpd2-prefork -f /etc/apache2/httpd.conf wwwrun 2623 0.0 0.0 17724 484 ? S 00:00 0:00 /usr/sbin/httpd2-prefork -f /etc/apache2/httpd.conf wwwrun 2624 0.0 0.0 17724 436 ? S 00:00 0:00 /usr/sbin/httpd2-prefork -f /etc/apache2/httpd.conf Does "rcapache2 restart" get it going? Needless to say it doesn't happen on any of my 4 openSUSE boxes. Regards Sid. -- Sid Boyce ...
