Snapshot 20220212 problematic with full NVidia
Dears, I just upgraded to 20220212 kernel 5.16.8 and my screen remains black. CRTL+ALT F1 move on TTY1 but my monitor goes out of sync. I can blindly login into KDE using SSDM, invoke konsole via KRunner and reboot, but I cannot give useful info cause I can't see anything on the screen. Now I'm working with the previous kernel 5.16.5. NVIDIA 1660 + 470.103 I'm going to fire a bug ASAP. Regards -- Daniele

You might consider moving to the G06 510.47 versions of the NVidia drivers. Although I did have a video freak out when I went to open a virt-manager gui but it did recover. On 2/14/22 11:14, Daniele Granata wrote:

that's already been done, a workaround has been found and a solution might be in the works. We heard about that problem. Please see https://bugzilla.suse.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1195885 There's a workaround to try in comment 28. Sorry for the inconvenience. We tried to sort-out these problems before-hand, but apparently not good enough. We also received a bug report against AMD hardware at https://bugzilla.opensuse.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1195887 If anyone can contribute information to that bug, I'd be happy to hear about it.
