[opensuse-factory] how to create an image of 11.3 to upload to Amazon Web Services
... or maybe there is already one? I would love to play with that. I would love to create * a few Rails web sites * Catalyst as well * have my e-mail going through there, with procmail and all that, and also an awesome webmailer ... * oh, I would love to have a Redmine server running there * ... http://Hayek.name/Jochen.html http://Hayek.name/Jochen-CV.html http://Hayek.name/Jochen -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

Sounds good indeed. And if so, what's the next step? how will I procede? Well, alright, serious now, no kidding. I have here on my desk a document dated 2008-11-24 resp. 2010-07-19, authored by Marcus Schäfer, named "KIWI Project", "openSUSE - KIWI Image System Cookbook". I guess it's better to ask himself, in what state his AWS support is. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

download the iso's and then put them on the server. http://software.opensuse.org/113/en would be a good start.

guess you will have to make that determination, yourself. -- Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA HOG # US1244711 http://wahoo.no-ip.org Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://counter.li.org -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

and then how would "putting them on the server" work? and suggestion? I mean a real suggestion, not like an oracle, enclosing people in clouds and fog.

do you actually think your sort of question is any helpful? do you intend to be helpful? and why do you respond then at all? -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

ftp? rsync? scp? xyzmodem? We don't know how you connect to the server, we can't tell you how to proceed.

Jochen, you have to ask yourself if your approach above is likely to produce any positive or useful result. I have my doubts. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (26.4°C) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
