Plasma6 locks the screen as soon as KeePassXC is restored or started?
Hi all, is anyone else having issues with KDE Plasma6 locking the screen, as soon as KeePassXC is being started or restored from the system tray? KeePassXC is being started at login, which means I log in and the the scree locks and I have to unlock, before I can use my fresh session... One of my laptops has this annoying bug, but I cannot find out why. The KeePassXC settings are the same on another laptop, that does not show this behaviour. Any ideas, anyone? Puzzled, Johannes

KeePassXC running OK here on Tumbleweed. Both on my PC and a laptop. And like you, it runs at login in both cases. HTH Bob -- Bob Williams No HTML please. Plain text preferred. https://useplaintext.email/ http://www.catb.org/~esr/faqs/smart-questions.html

Thanks for the fast reply, Bob. Are you running on Wayland or X11? Kind Regards, Johannes

Are you using pam_u2f or libfprintd for unlocking your screen? The only difference between my laptops/installations (that I can think of now) is that the one that locks the screen has fprintd configured to unlock the screen using fingerprint. I know that KeePassXC can additionally use fingerprints on Windows, but why would it lock the screen due to that? Still puzzled, Johannes

I'm not using fingerprint to unlock, just password.

For me it works well on X11. -- Vojtěch Zeisek https://trapa.cz/ Komunita openSUSE GNU/Linuxu Community of the openSUSE GNU/Linux https://www.opensuse.org/

One of my laptops has this annoying bug, but I cannot find out why. The KeePassXC settings are the same on another laptop, that does not show this behaviour.
I could solve this by going through the KeePassXC issues, missing the right one, asking and being directed at the right one. Apparently KeePassXC does $THINGS with the Yubikey (and only a Yubikey, not a normal U2F device) when it starts up. The udev rules in the Yubikey documentation is a little to broad and triggers my "lock screen if I remove the Yubikey" script. After adapting the rules the screen locks, when I remove the Yubikey, but does not lock on KeePassXC startup. So: Solved!
Have a nice day everyone! Kind Regards, Johannes
