The version bumps are released around the 9th of each month, so the next one is planned for 2024-11-09 I was wondering if the notifications of daily updates are too spammy here. Should I send them elsewhere? Ciao Bernhard M.

I don't know about elsewhere, but I consider them nominally spammy here. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is, like religion, based on faith, not based on science. Team OS/2 ** Reg. Linux User #211409 ** a11y rocks! Felix Miata

I don't agree. Ich use Leap 15.6 as standard and also slowroll, but the latter not on a daily basis, so I like to know when there is an update for slowroll.

The thread is about updates, which happen most days, with several dozen or less packages. My actual notification interest is in upgrades, which are normally once a month, with upwards of 100 packages on most announcements. -- Evolution as taught in public schools is, like religion, based on faith, not based on science. Ciao Bernhard M.
I have also asked for Slowroll package's version number, like what the Tumbleweed script auto-generates. And updated monthly iso media - the last modified version is still since 9.9.2024 https://download.opensuse.org/slowroll/iso/ and to find Slowroll distribution on the gui download page https://get.opensuse.org/ Suggestions: Add a Slowroll montly update to openSUSE News like Tumbleweed here https://news.opensuse.org/2024/10/30/tw-monthly-update-october/ (possibly with a reference link to this on the https://en.opensuse.org/Portal:Slowroll) Rgds Terje J. This is tracked in https://trello.com/c/qPPqduyH/44-augment-ml-notification

The October iso had a problem, so I left it unpublished. The November iso is already built and looking good. It should be out on Friday.
https://download.opensuse.org/slowroll/iso/ and to find Slowroll distribution on the gui download page https://get.opensuse.org/
I don't want it on that page until we have good automated tests.
Suggestions: Add a Slowroll montly update to openSUSE News like Tumbleweed here https://news.opensuse.org/2024/10/30/tw-monthly-update-october/ (possibly with a reference link to this on the https://en.opensuse.org/ Portal:Slowroll)
Since we inherit all the Tumbleweed packages, the monthly TW update all applies to Slowroll. Why duplicate it? Maybe we could mention that it also applies to Slowroll (as published ~10d later) Ciao Bernhard M.

I wasn't aware of that ...

Fine :)

I understand. A good while ago, Slowroll "beta release" was mentioned. What is the current state here, or isn't this relevant for a rolling?

Yeah, the latter seems reasonable to me.
