[opensuse-factory] Launching Chromium just caused a bad pagetable interrupt from the kernel?
All, I just filed a new bug that seems important to me: https://bugzilla.novell.com/show_bug.cgi?id=805889 I have been using RC1 with the RC1 kernel for the last week off and on and not seen this. This occurred with a newly updated kernel which is post RC1. == copy of what it says I updated to the newest 12.3 kernel an hour or two ago via zypper dup.
uname -a Linux linux-3j6w.site 3.7.9-1.4-desktop #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Feb 21 16:15:10 UTC 2013 (8dec968) i686 i686 i386 GNU/Linux
Running KDE 4.10, I just used alt-f2 to launch chromium (probably for the first time after the new kernel). Chromium did start, but in my konsole terminals I got: Message from syslogd@linux-3j6w at Feb 25 10:41:04 ... kernel:[ 7104.580388] Process chromium (pid: 7821, ti=de856000 task=c90901b0 task.ti=de856000) Message from syslogd@linux-3j6w at Feb 25 10:41:04 ... kernel:[ 7104.580423] EIP: [<b2cb2937>] 0xb2cb2937 SS:ESP 007b:bf85d420 In /var/log/warn I got: 2013-02-25T10:41:04.277056-05:00 linux-3j6w kernel: [ 7104.579741] *pdpt = 0000000000000000 *pde = 0000000000000000 2013-02-25T10:41:04.277059-05:00 linux-3j6w kernel: [ 7104.579768] Bad pagetable: 000f [#1] PREEMPT SMP 2013-02-25T10:41:04.277062-05:00 linux-3j6w kernel: [ 7104.579791] Modules linked in: fuse btrfs zlib_deflate libcrc32c ufs qnx4 hfsplus hfs minix vfat msdos fat jfs xfs reiserfs dm_mod af_packet rfcomm bnep snd_hda_codec_hdmi snd_hda_codec_realtek snd_hda_intel uvcvideo cpufreq_conservative arc4 iwldvm cpufreq_userspace snd_hda_codec snd_hwdep cpufreq_powersave mac80211 snd_pcm videobuf2_core videodev sr_mod iTCO_wdt iTCO_vendor_support acpi_cpufreq mperf videobuf2_vmalloc coretemp btusb r8169 snd_seq snd_timer snd_seq_device iwlwifi sg videobuf2_memops lpc_ich cdrom mei snd usb_storage mfd_core dell_wmi sparse_keymap dell_laptop dcdbas kvm_intel kvm crc32c_intel soundcore cfg80211 bluetooth battery microcode pcspkr i2c_i801 joydev ac snd_page_alloc rfkill pciehp pci_hotplug autofs4 nouveau i915 ttm drm_kms_helper xhci_hcd drm mxm_wmi i2c_algo_bit thermal wmi video button processor thermal_sys scsi_dh_alua scsi_dh_hp_sw scsi_dh_rdac scsi_dh_emc scsi_dh 2013-02-25T10:41:04.277065-05:00 linux-3j6w kernel: [ 7104.580243] Pid: 7821, comm: chromium Not tainted 3.7.9-1.4-desktop #1 Dell Inc.
