Hi community, altough groff is quite boring package, it is essential part of each GNU like system. In SUSE we have had an issue that some of parts were not built with all needed dependencies, so they did not properly worked. The point of a groff is that as a manual pages renderer, it is a part of Base:build, so no new dependencies should be added in to make bootstrapping possible. Therefor I've took Debian's approach and made * groff package: stripped down version with fonts and suitable for manual pages * groff-full: recommended by (basic) groff provides the rest of cool things like grohtml, or pdf backends This (including an update to 1.22.2) has been submitted to M17N and any testing before reaching Factory would be welcome.
