Well, I reverted back to RC3 kernel and won't allow RC4 to reinstall. I'll see about RC5 when it is released. I'll also try and compile the source for RC4 and see if anything shows up...maybe an option change...dunno yet.
That is exactly what i am going to do, after finishing making food for the entire family, and eat it. ;-) (french fries!)
One is tester or not.. ;-)
True...I test, but until late in the cycle, I use VMWare so I don't usually risk a 'real' machine. Once I get a relatively stable install (not yet unfortunately), I make a snapshot and can restore and try again with VMWare so testing goes a lot faster :) I test a bunch :) They probably hate me at openSuSE 'cause I speak my piece pretty often to everyone from the programmers to Sr Management if that is what it takes to make a difference.
I allways use real machines, mostly both 32 and 64bit, but this time only 64, cause the other machine is in very heavy production use now, and than i can only use a quarter of the time.. Testing is nessesary, why would they hate you? (but i am not aware of the things you say to them, so i don't know.)

Did you file a bugreport? Or do you fix it yourself?
That is one of the first things I do...fixing it myself is OK but it is only good for me. To be useful, it needs to be incorporated in everyone's copy and that can only be done by filing a report and working with SuSE to get it into the code and released.
which bugnumber?
... could be that the 64 bit version is 'less broken' than the 32 bit version?
I do not know for the reason written above ;-) And, i upgraded a ~release 10.3 to factory, which has all my settings.. I use it as a normal machine, and in case of malfunctioning, i have an intact 10.2 somewhere on the drive.. :-) - -- Have a nice day, M9. Now, is the only time that exists.
