[opensuse-factory] problem loading OAFIID:GNOME_MixerApplet RC1
After upgrading to RC1 I got this message 'The panel encountered a problem while loading "OAFIID:GNOME_MixerApplet".' Manually adding the volume control applet to the panel results in the same error message. Is anyone else seeing this ? I wanted to test the audio, so I started banshee and got this: ---- An unhandled exception was thrown: libbanshee at (wrapper managed-to-native) Banshee.BansheeEntry:banshee_dbus_compat_thread_init () at Banshee.BansheeEntry.Startup (System.String[] args) [0x00000] at (wrapper delegate-invoke) System.MulticastDelegate:invoke_void_string[] (string[]) at Banshee.Gui.CleanRoomStartup.Startup (Banshee.Gui.StartupInvocationHandler startup, System.String[] args) [0x00000] .NET Version: 2.0.50727.42 Assembly Version Information: Mono.Posix (2.0.0.0) NDesk.DBus.GLib (1.0.0.0) gnome-sharp (2.16.0.0) gdk-sharp (2.10.0.0) System (2.0.0.0) atk-sharp (2.10.0.0) glib-sharp (2.10.0.0) gtk-sharp (2.10.0.0) Banshee.Base (0.13.1.35065) banshee (0.13.1.35067) mscorlib (2.0.0.0) Platform Information: Linux 2.6.22.5-23-default i686 i386 GNU/Linux Disribution Information: [/etc/lsb-release] LSB_VERSION="core-2.0-noarch:core-3.0-noarch:core-2.0-ia32:core-3.0-ia32" [/etc/SuSE-release] openSUSE 10.3 (i586) VERSION = 10.3 ---- The sound card seems ok and XMMS works fine. 00:0e.0 Multimedia audio controller: Creative Labs SB Live! Manually adding the volume control applet to the panel results in the same error message.
Remove the mixer applet from the panel and run "/usr/lib/gnome-panel/mixer_applet2" on the command line. See if there are any errors, if not add the applet to the panel and see if there are any errors there. -JP -- JP Rosevear <jpr@novell.com> Novell, Inc. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

This was solved after gnome-settings-daemon. Thanks. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org

I got the same error message today on openSUSE Factory, but it somehow disappeared when I rebooted machine. -- Igor Jagec
