Regarding the Jump reference.I've recently (last openSUSE Release tools backlog review meeting) had a discussion with DimStar, Coolo and Max regarding need of similar checks in Jump. Most of related validation in openSUSE Leap happens as part of installcheck.

4k of JUMP packages will receive updates via SLE sync except of submit requests. We'll have to place some event hooks on project-wide check pipelines which will most likely run on botmaster.suse.de. SLE is using "xcdchk" that is bit understaffed at this moment. But we could at least re-use some of its clever checks.
