Zypp would be the end, I guess it is ;-). atcher has been replaced with a tool that says to me: Updating pilot-link-0.11.8-133.i586[System packages] to pilot-link-0.12.0_pre4-16.i586[Zypp service] pilot-link-0.11.8-133.i586[System packages] provides libpisock.so.8, but is scheduled to be uninstalled. Can't satisfy requirement libpisock.so.8 for libmal-0.31-167.i586[System packages] libmal-0.31-167.i586[System packages] dependend on [pilot-link] libmal is locked and cannot be uninstalled. Marking this resolution attempt as invalid. That is the problem? I don't know so the average user won't know it neither. The Solver should know it or at least give some options, right? Bugfiller or is this something occasionally? Azerion

Bugreport - this means that downgrading of packages does not work correctly, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
I finally decided to not use rug anymore until it is usable (reporting bugs though, as I find them) and use smart for all tasks. It handled this downgrading issue perfectly while yum did not. :) Philipp Andreas Jaeger schrieb:
