It is not a real issue: 12.1 development is not happening in Factory anymore, but in openSUSE:12.1. The release package hasn't been updated since we branched for 12.1, so this is why you see this. Thanks for this conformation. CMIIW. After this branching process, so 12.1 RC and Factory will have separate development and will cause numbers of same name packages have different version? So with the same way, in the next release (after 12.1 released), Factory repositories will also be branched to openSUSE:12.2 after it reaches openSUSE 12.2 RC1? Factory is now 12.2, as was announced days ago. - -- Cheers, Carlos E. R. The point of the thread is that as of yesterday at least Factory announces itself as 'openSUSE 12.1 "Asparagus" RC 1'. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." Because the work is not happening in the factory branch, but on RC2. Even if factory still says 12.1 RC1, it is now 12.2. It is not that important to change the label, there are more important bugs to solve on 12.1. - -- Cheers / Saludos, Carlos E. R. It's the usual way, although I'm unsure if this branching process always occurs between RC1 and RC2. But when it's happening, it is announced: http://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2011-10/msg00484.html Cheers, Vincent -- Les gens heureux ne sont pas pressés. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
