openSUSE Release Engineering meeting 21.02.2024
!!! HEADS UP PLEASE USE https://meet.google.com/fud-xeti-hvn for a few upcoming meetings instead of jitsi, as we're experiencing a lot of issues with it. https://progress.opensuse.org/issues/155185 I did update calendar-o-o to reflect this https://calendar.opensuse.org/teams/release/events/opensuse_release_engineer... How to join the meeting? https://calendar.opensuse.org/teams/release/events/opensuse_release_engineer... All meeting minutes can be found here: https://etherpad.opensuse.org/p/ReleaseEngineering-meeting ## Attendees lkocman, DimStar, bittin, bmwiedemann, DocB, ddemaio, wengel, maxlin, ana ## Leap Reminder that we have check in deadline for Leap 15.6 Beta was originally today 21st February. Followed by a Beta build next week. However, SLES 15 SP6 Public Beta will be postponed by a week. SLES claims that the amount of changes since Beta 3 is huge. They would like to use additional week for testing. We would like to use the time to make progress on Leap 15.6 changes that were blocked on SLES (e.g. GNU Health). There we'd be aiming on having Leap 15.6 Beta build in the first week of March in case that no further slips are announced from SUSE side. SDL was merged to SLES 15 SP6 yesterday, unfortunatelly after the snapshot update of SP6 changes. (corresponds with SLES 15 SP6 Public Beta check in deadline) https://en.opensuse.org/openSUSE:Roadmap#Schedule_for_openSUSE_Leap_15.6 python-related stagings, including GNUHealth, are mostly blocked on SLES 15 SP6's Staging:G, which will be accepted "hopefully this week". Thanks to Antonio for helping on this!
