Hi,
I want to test the UPEK driver and fingerprint reader with Factory but it looks like the packages are not available.
It does show up under
http://software.opensuse.org/package/yast2-fingerprint-reader
but not available anywhere... Is it being replaced with another package?
YaST module is no longer available, but you can set it up manually using pam_fprint package.
Thanks, so it will no longer be supported? Is this because its a feature users don't trust, don't want or has no maintainer behind?
I'm not maintainer, but AFAIK fingerprint readers are still supported (I'm using it myself) and I think the YaST module is one of the YaST modules that currently have no maintainer, so if you want nice GUI to set it up, you can step up and start maintaining it :-)

Hi, It's mentioned on release notes that this module and some others are dropped in 13.1: https://www.suse.com/releasenotes/x86_64/openSUSE/13.1/#sec.131.yastmodules Regards, Luiz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
