It will. You only have to replace /etc/os-release with the corresponding file from SLES4SAP.
At least for SAP HANA, this works.

I use this for non-production HANA only. HANA is a very nice and admin-friendly part of software, at least compared to Oracle ;) So, it is very unlikely I'll ever have to open a bug against SAP :) Of course all my productive HANA and all application servers run on SLES. Conveniently, SLES licenses cost about half of the amount RHEL would be, so I'm not forced to leave my favourite distributor :) Regards, Werner --
