'Conflicting Recommends'? you can recommend packages that do not exist; rpm does not care; only zypper / yast does... and if packages do not exist, they are skipped... after all, it's only recommendations.
I guess I meant something like: Bluez4.spec Provides: Bluez4 Conflicts: Bluez5 Bluez5.spec Provides: Bluez5 Conflicts: Bluez4 Gnome.spec Recommends: Bluez5 KDE.spec Recommends: Bluez4 Then highlight it in the release notes that the user needs to choose between Bluez 4 and 5 and what that means. note: I'm sure the above would need some sort UI changes somewhere to help the user know what's going on.
