3/ Sound does not seem to work. If I insert an audio CD, Banshee gets started, but it does not play the music.
Did you check the volume settings in mixer? Did you try to play some file? (Audio CD has a different mixer setting.)
The mixer does not start at all. Obviously, YaST was not able to configure the sound driver automatically: hwinfo --sound 14: None 00.0: 0401 Multimedia audio controller [Created at prom.336] Unique ID: rdCR.ITz6G5CcwPB Hardware Class: sound Model: "Apple Integrated Sound (awacs)" Vendor: int 0x0401 "Apple" Device: int 0x0010 "Integrated Sound (awacs)" Driver Info #0: Driver Status: snd-powermac is not active Driver Activation Cmd: "modprobe snd-powermac" Config Status: cfg=yes, avail=yes, need=no, active=unknown Sound Configuration ┌───────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────────┐ │Index │Card Model │ │Not configured│Integrated Sound (awacs) │ │ │ After clicking "Edit" and "Quick something" it now plays system beeps. Now there seems to be a gstreamer problem. -- Karl Eichwalder R&D / Documentation SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, GF: Markus Rex, HRB 16746 (AG Nuernberg) --------------------------------------------------------------------- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse-factory+help@opensuse.org
