PS: @Ruediger: did you test? If no, you did not help to find the bugs. Stefan did so, but did not have enough warning to keep another logging service running. And yes, the docu is ambiguous and unclear.
Actually I have, but unfortunately syslog-ng is also buggy since some weeks and stops logging after some period of time :-( https://bugzilla.novell.com/815746
not version 2.0.9. I put it in place and made it immutable. It never crashes. Yeah.. its old, but it works. Seems to be a good idea to keep around a backup 'root' or two and copy in the working binaries after installing recent updates... One finds that recent updates install dummy scripts for working binaries. Good to have working binaries. For those that think systemd = linux, it's not. systemd=windows -- it's a corporate shove down your throat. Gnu-linux has been about there being more than one way to do things. That's an *open* system. Closed ones are where choice is dictated and removed. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
