And probably often users look into the "New Tumbleweed snapshot" e-mails and into the replies before or after updating their systems. I often found good information about problems and solutions for updating Tumbleweed.
Exactly. Reading about common problems that people run into, as well as any warnings about potentially breaking changes is one of the main reasons why I read this list, and I guess some others do as well. It's good to know what to look for when updating, which we as Tumbleweed users do frequently, and it's good to know when maybe wait for a few days (or at least until you have time to debug/fix potential issues) before actually installing an update. Also, there should a list/forum where people can flag those issues that they are seeing in those cases where it's unclear yet if it's their configuration or an actual bug (or something maybe fixed already and in flight for an upcoming snapshot) - and then actually file a bug when it's clear it's one. I understand that the larger and the more commercialized a project get, the more people seem to not want to hear things outside of their team (or outside the precise topics they need to care about) and communication channels become very fragmented (as a Mozilla community member, I know what I'm talking about there), but I was under the impression that this group here is about the development of the distro(s), it's the factory floor of the distro work so to speak and issues blocking its usage have a place here. If not, is there a better group for that (which isn't about common config problems of Leap users but day-to-day update blockers of Tumbleweed)? KaiRo
