On TW installations I want to keep on v4, I've been using the following prior to zypper dup, with apparent success:
zypper al kf5* kdm* kdebase4* konsole* ksnapshot* kcalc* konqueror* kde-oxygen-fonts kded* kmenuedit* kwin* libqt* qtcurve* qt4* sddm breeze* qtcurve-qt5 kmix libkonq5 kde4-kgreeter-plugins
To get it, on the first such system I just kept answering cancel instead of letting zypper dup proceed, and adding locks until the conflicts stopped.
Thanks, but when I try that I still get these items of concern: The following 15 packages are going to be REMOVED: baloo-tools kactivities4 kde-gtk-config kde4-l10n-de kde4-l10n-de-data kde4-l10n-de-doc ksshaskpass patterns-openSUSE-kde4_games patterns-openSUSE-kde4_internet patterns-openSUSE-kde4_multimedia patterns-openSUSE-kde4_office patterns-openSUSE-kde4_utilities patterns-openSUSE-kde4_utilities_opt patterns-openSUSE-kde4_yast patterns-openSUSE-sw_management_kde4 The following 8 patterns are going to be REMOVED: kde4_games kde4_internet kde4_multimedia kde4_office kde4_utilities kde4_utilities_opt kde4_yast sw_management_kde4 If I lock these out too, things look clean, but I'm still uneasy about this.
An attempt to update produces conflicts for plasma-nm-* packages, BTW.
I have only fixed IP installations, so no use for *nm*.
It looks like the obsoletion patterns that should move these to the corresponding plasma-nm5-* packages are either missing or aren't kicking in.
