You may also consider switching to the NVIDIA driver packaged in this repository instead of using the run file: http://http.download.nvidia.com/opensuse/tumbleweed/
It does not contain the build for 4.19.1 yet, but I expect it won't take long to appear there.
tks, but have been using the ..run files for *many* years now. will only change if I cannot get a cure for present status. I have installed with the 4.19.1 kernel using "--no-drm" and except for occasional black screens when changing from one image to another when developeing raw photos, I see little difference. maybe a little speed. tks, -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.org openSUSE Community Member facebook/ptilopteri Registered Linux User #207535 @ http://linuxcounter.net Photos: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/piwigo paka @ IRCnet freenode -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse-factory+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse-factory+owner@opensuse.org
