What you are doing at the moment is changing an existing theme, which is not even supported by the management tools from Ubuntu. The plymouth-manager of Ubuntu allows you to change the complete theme, but not to change just some small parts of an existing theme.
At this moment this is also possible from the command-line, by downloading a new theme, unpack it in the directory /usr/share/plymouth/themes and then to run plymouth-set-default-theme <Theme-name> -R

Thank you for your concern Raymond. What i want is to use the openSUSE Elegant theme, because i want to see that i use oS. But i want a nice looking picture, to look at on boot-time. If i can install that theme, i would not have to change one image. I did not have the time yet, but i am going to try this very soon. It would be nice to update the page about it when everything works ok.
